At Aspen Landscape, “Details Matter.“
Wanting to maintain a conservative theme throughout the foundation landscape, the homeowner chose roses and boxwoods as a natural choice. By implementing the continuous blooming of shrub roses to provide color all summer long, the contrasting mountain boxwoods serve as a backdrop and maintain color throughout the winter.
Splash of Color
Sometimes a wave of color is all that’s needed for striking aesthetics, and black-eyed Susan’s provide an ultimate blaze of yellow. The secret to establishing a great looking flowerbed like this example is preparing the soil. Aspen Landscape accomplished this stylish design with a custom garden mix that offers readily available nutrients and good drainage to help create a lush, thriving focal point.
Often homeowners desire a privacy barrier that is softer than wood fencing. In these instances, Techny Arborvitae is a wonderful choice. The dense green foliage maintains its color all season long, and offers a natural landscape barrier that grows over time. Before deciding on Techny Arborvitae as a final choice, however, homeowners should keep in mind that the hedge may require burlap fencing to prevent winter burn.
